1,000 Books Before Kindergarten

This program is designed to help children read 1,000 books before they enter kindergarten and encourage life-long reading habits, build speech and language skills, and build social connections. For every one hundred books read, participants will receive a book to keep for their home collection. Once you've read 1,000 books, you'll receive a completion certificate you can print and share! Listening to a caregiver read counts as reading!

How it Works

Register Online Here – Caregivers can create an account first to easily track participant's progress.
Track Your Reading – Log in here and track your reading to earn points.
Keep Reading! – Earn a completion certificate once you've completed the program.

Put reading first, with 20 minutes a day spent reading to your children. Make it fun and exciting. Be imaginative.

If you read just 1 book a day, you will have read about 365 books in a year. That is 730 books in two years, and 1,095 books in just three years!
